The experience

who: Lulu Ma
what: meeting with friends
where: Central Park, Fremont, CA when: 2pm,
May 9th
problem: got lost after getting off bart

1. Lulu puts on Q monocle.

2. As soon as she puts on Q mono- cle/glasses and turn on app, she can start viewing her pet guide. She chooses “park” in her saved menu.

3. Start.

4. After navigation is started, screen goes to
“in-process” mode and Lulu can put away her smartphone and enjoy the view in the unfamiliar roads.

5. Lulu found the big balloon in the sky. That is where the destination is located. She sees the remaining time shown on the top right corner which comforts her that it’s not too far away. She follows her guide to the park.

6. Her guide always maintains a cer- tain distance (customizable in app) from her so when she stops, her guide stops and waits too. If she de- tours, her guide automatically recal- culates the route.

7. The light sensor in the monocle triggers night mode when she gets in the dark or the shades.
Her guide glows to an extent in accordance with
the darkness.

8. Whenever there is a crossroad, no matter whether it is on red light or green light, her guide firstly, turns to the direction to which she is supposed to go next, and then stops and waits for her to start walking.

9. When Lulu starts walking, her guide goes ahead of her and retains the set distance again.

10. The closer Lulu is to the park, the bigger the balloon appears.

11. Lulu continues to follow

.

12. At arrival, her guide turns to her so that she knows she has arrived at her destination.

13. Exit and enjoy the day!
